Hello friends. today we are talking about the last center in the human design chart that we haven't covered yet, which is the root center. It is a pressure center and it is a motor center. About 40% of the population has this center open, which means that they are taking in an amplifying the pressure from other people around them.

When they have the center open, they are always under pressure to get things done. It feels like if they could just rush through this, they get to the other side and then they'd be free of the pressure. But the joke of the world is that there's always pressure behind that pressure.

We're always under pressure to do something or to feel pressure from somewhere, , from the people around us, whether they are actually exerting their pressure on us or it's just an energetic, we feel it if the center is open. And this causes us to either rush to get things done so that we can feel free of the pressure or.

We tend to procrastinate and then do things in a rush at the last minute. So there can be some wisdom to that in the waiting and then using that pressure to get things done quickly. But when we do it, unconsciously, and we wait and wait and wait, and then we feel a lot of stress and pressure to get things done, it's not a very healthy way to approach this.

So it's important to recognize, you know, What you need to do, what the pressure actually is, what the timeframe is that you need to do it in. and to, to become more comfortable over time with being under pressure to know that that pressure is always going to be there, but it doesn't mean that you have to do something about it all the time.

Sometimes it's just getting comfortable with knowing there is pressure to do, but the pressure to do doesn't mean that I have to do something right now. you know, the other thing is that there's a lot of adrenaline that comes in through the chart in this center through the root up from the bottom of the chart.

And so you'll feel that adrenalized pressure pick you up, , from others throughout the day, and you need to be able to discharge that as well. So if you are somebody who has a defined sacral center, you probably feel this less. If you have an open sacral center and an open route, you're going to feel that pressure more, and it's going to lead you to also with the open Sacral center, not know when enough is enough.

You can start to rely on this adrenalized energy to get things done and move things quickly. But it's that burnout kind of cycle because you don't know when enough is enough and you feel the pressure to do, and you just wanna be free of the pressure. So you keep doing, and it's a vicious cycle until you burn out.

So it's important to just slow down and recognize, okay, this is not all my pressure. I don't have to do all the things, and then find ways to discharge that adrenalized pressure too. So maybe it's a gentle workout, maybe it's yoga, maybe it's going for a walk, maybe it's journaling. You know, there's lots of different ways to, , release this adrenalized energy, so that you're not sitting in it and feeling that pressure to always do.

Now the other side to this is if you have a defined root center, you know 60% of the population has a defined root center, which means that they are kind of on their own , timing, schedule, and they do things in the time that they want to. When that pressure center is, on and active. They are consistently doing to get things done, but when it turns off because it has cycles of rest, it turns off, it's hard to get that thing going again.

So sometimes you can override it with a defined will center or even the sacral center, but it's not really healthy to push against that. When that center is off and it's saying, rest, you really need to rest. So just because you can turn it back on and make it keep going doesn't mean that it's the best thing to do.

And so we wanna be mindful with kids with this center too, that if we, know that they have a defined root center and it's turned off and they're not wanting to do anything right now, they're needing a cycle of rest and we keep pushing them to get up and clean their room or to.

Exercise or to do something else and they don't feel like it. We're basically telling them, ignore what your body is feeling and do what I'm telling you instead. So we wanna be careful with the message that we send, you know, is that the message that we wanna send, that you shouldn't listen to your body and you should just do what other people want you to do?

Or do we want to say, okay, I understand that you don't feel like doing this right now. You don't have the energy. What's a realistic timeframe that we can do this in? Maybe, maybe it doesn't need to be done right now. Maybe it could be done in a couple days, but you just like it done Now, you know, how can you compromise with that and recognize that their energy, is not on and available for this right now?

And if it is something that you need them to do, you know, if they are somebody with a defined sacral center, you can ask them those sacral questions to see if you can get them moving. You know, do you want to clean your room or do you want to go for a walk? Do you want to, you know, whatever it is that you're getting them to do, ask them the yes no questions and maybe you can kind of coerce them to turn that, that root center on for that timing to get that pressure to move a little bit again.

again, you know, you really wanna be careful with how much you're pushing that because what is the consequence of pushing against timing and against what energy is naturally available?

Another thing to notice is that a parent who has a defined root center or a child, whoever has the defined root center is putting pressure on the person who does not have a defined root center. So this could look like, you know, going to the store and your child talking about a toy and how cool it is, and that they'd like to have one.

And if you have that open root center and theirs is defined, you feel like they're saying, I want this right now, please, I need it. Buy it for me. And what they're really saying is, Hey, this is cool. I like it. You know? So it's interesting how we hear things differently too, based on , chart and our energetic blueprint.

So we feel that pressure very deeply from, just . , the energy of the voice of that person who has the defined root center, it has pressure to it, and we have to keep ourselves in check and say, is this what I'm really hearing? Or am I just feeling the pressure and it feels like I need to do this, or I need to buy this for them, or I need to take them here because they mention something that they'd like.

You know, am I being realistic about it or am I. letting a little bit of fantasy kind of come in and, and create something to do with the pressure that I'm feeling. So just be mindful of those dynamics and see how they play out in your life. You know, notice what's in your chart. Do you have defined or undefined centers, you know, looking back through all of the centers that we've covered, you know, how does that show up in your life?

What does it look like in your family? Who puts pressure on one another? Who's the most emotional person? Do they have a defined or undefined emotional center? Do they have a defined sacral center? Do they have the power, and energy to do? Or are they somebody who needs more cycles of rest? Do they have defined willpower?

Do they need more, variability in, in their commitments? You know, are they thoughtful? , are they in their thoughts all the time? Are they. Thinking about ideas, are they trying to commit to ideas and take on ideas that are not theirs? Are they speaking up and being the clown trying to get attention because they are not feeling heard?

You know, there's a lot of different ways that we can see how the things that somehow drive us crazy in our family dynamics are represented in the chart. And when we can see it, then we can do something different with it. We can not only accept it for what it is, but we can. Change how we approach it or how we relate to it.

So I would invite you to spend some time sitting with these, exploring them. And if you have my book, go through and kind of look at the questions that are in there to help guide you further as to, you know, learning more about them and yourself and your child. And, as always, message me if you have questions that I didn't address.

I'd love to hear what they are. And, next week, we will talk about the emotional center as far as relationship to emotions and how those emotional dynamics play out within relationships and families.
