Episode 18 - Introduction to the Sacral Center

Transcript

Hi friends and welcome back. Today we are talking about the sacral center. So this is one of the motor centers. It is about vitality, life force energy, and workforce energy. The open sacral center represents only about 30% of the population because remember, to be a generator or manifesting generator, you have to have this defined, and that represents about 70% of the population.

So if you are somebody with an open sacral center, you know you need to make sure that you recognize that you are not one of the 70% of people in the world. You need to work and do things differently than the rest of the world or the majority of the world. You need to make sure that you're not pushing yourself through doing to try and prove yourself.

You need to get enough rest. You need to learn to say no. and you need to learn to say yes at the right times when the invitation is there. , or when you have the right thing that you've been invited to, , that you wanna put your energy into. You need to make sure that you have downtime at the end of the day.

You need to get into bed 30 minutes before it's time to sleep so that you can lie flat and discharge all of that sacral energy you've picked up throughout the day. You may notice that when you are around groups of people that you feel energized, and that can be really useful. It can be really helpful to get things done to intentionally use that, but it's also important to dip out of that energy, to be by yourself and to recognize what is your energy Inherently when you were on your own and you were not amplifying the energy of the defined sacral people around you.

If you have a family who has defined sacral centers and you do not, you know, you're constantly kind of in this energy, and this can play a part in how you see yourself and how you think you are able to work. If you are a projector or even a manifestor or a reflector who grows up in a family of generators or manifesting generators, and you're conditioned to think that you have that energy.

You may find yourself going out into the world and, you know, crashing, hitting burnout by 30, 40 or 50 because you think that you are a generator, but that's not the energy you have. And that actually happened to me as well, even though , the parent who raised me mostly is a projector. I was around a lot of generators and, The world that we live in says, go and do and make things happen.

And I tried that. I tried that for a long time, and by age 32 I burned out because it wasn't sustainable for me and I just didn't know it. I didn't know human design then. And gosh, I wish I did because life could have been very different from me. I learned a lot from that experience, and it really taught me that I had to do things differently.

I had to find a new way, and it was a few more years before I found human design and really had an explanation for why I had to do things differently. And that was actually really freeing for me because I, I knew that I needed to do things differently, but I kept fighting it.

I kept thinking, well, if I just. Find the right supplement, or if I eat the right diet, or if I, you know, do this or that, then I will feel better. I will have more energy and I'll be able to go do all the things that I used to do. But my body was saying, no, you can't do all of those things you used to do.

You've done too many things and now you need to back off. But now with human design, I finally had a language that showed me why. I wasn't supposed to keep doing that. My mind kept saying, keep going, keep doing, keep pushing harder. But that wasn't right for me. And now I have an understanding, , with human design as to why that is.

And I can work with my energy a lot better now and focus it in the areas I really want to focus it and then spend, you know, quality time, having downtime and replenishing myself as well.

So about 70% of the population is , somebody with a defined sacral center, either a generator or a manifesting generator, as I mentioned, and they are people who wake up with a full battery every morning of energy. It is their job to deplete that battery of its energy by the end of the day so that they can sleep.

If they don't get enough physical movement in their day, they can really struggle with, their mind kind of circling in that a d h D kind of pattern where it's jumping from thing to thing all the time, , and not settling down, having a hard time focusing on one thing. You know, having the mind going, going, going, when you lay down, there's just so much energy that it doesn't have anywhere to go.

It can be hard to focus on things. So if you don't get enough sleep, the next day is gonna be kind of compounded. So the best thing to do is to move your body more to physically get exercise, whether it's walking or running, or lifting weights or playing sports, or whatever it is that you enjoy. And to the ability that you have.

So if you are physically unable to run, don't run. Do what you can do and exercise your body to the point where it feels tired. It doesn't have to look like somebody else's level of exhaustion. It just has to feel like you've used up your physical energy for the day and you're now ready to rest so that you can actually sleep at night.

If you find that you're not sleeping well, it generally means that you're not getting enough physical exercise in your day. And the same with children. You know, we kind of want our kids to wind down and go to bed and, you know, sacredly define children, generators, and manifesting generators. They really need to run and run and run and run and run and run and run, and then crash into bed to sleep well.

Otherwise you're gonna have a lot of that like ping ponging out of bed and. I need a drink of water. And one more thing. And, oh, I forgot to tell you something. , because their energy just isn't ready to settle yet for the night. So make sure to give them enough exercise so that they can wind down for the evening.

It's also important to remember that just because you can do all of these things doesn't mean that everybody can, you know, 30% of the population doesn't have the center defined. So understanding that. If you have a projector, manifestor, or reflector in your life, they won't be able to work at the same pace you can for as long as you can.

Short term, they can amplify your energy and, do, and they can even look like they're a super generator doing things faster than you and, and just much more of it, but, It's not sustainable and it will burn them out. So the kindest thing that you can do is if you have a child who is a non sacral energy type, and you are a sly defined person to honor their energy cycles and learn to understand what they need for cycles of rest, and not to push them beyond that, because that teaches them to grow up and go beyond what they can do and end up in burnout like me, by the time they're 30 or 40 or 50.

So pay attention to that. Know that just because you have a defined sacral center also doesn't mean that you need to do all the grunt work. People with undefined sacral centers can still do work. You know, they can still clean up after themselves. They can still help with chores and with housework. , they may need some support.

You know, they may need you to physically , be present so that they can kind of tap into your sacral energy to be more efficient at it and get things done. But, Know that you are not here to pick up the slack for everybody and do all of the grunt work that nobody else wants to do just because you have a defined sacral center.

So keep that in mind. And, um, yeah, just know that, that we all have different levels of energy. We all have different ways of doing things, and when you can honor the way that you and your family are designed, you can create a more harmonious home.
